Design
There are few phones with a design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. Folded, it is a beautiful smartphone with a large screen. This is thinner than its predecessor. At 13.4 mm it is no longer that thick.
But you experience the real magic when you unfold the phone. Engadget calls that the biggest change: “The new hinge is the biggest change. This is smaller and removes the open space you have when you close the phone.”
Digital Trends is also pleased with the telephone. The thinner design is particularly popular. “The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is 2.4 mm thinner when folded compared to the Fold4.

The phone has a battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh. That’s the same amount as the Fold4. But the new chip makes the phone use the battery more efficiently. Tomsguide states that the battery lasts 1.5 hours longer compared to the Fold4.
“In the Tomsguide battery test, in which web pages are used continuously at a brightness of 150 nits, the Fold5 lasts 10 hours and 55 minutes on a full battery. That is longer than the 9 hours and 17 minutes that the Fold4 battery could handle.”
Engadget also tested the battery of the Fold5. “With the Fold5 unfolded and the screen set to active, the phone lasts 19 hours and 48 minutes.
When folded with the screen on, it takes 23 hours and 10 minutes for the battery to run out.” Charging is fairly fast. Digitaltrends says:
“With a fast charger it takes about 80 minutes to fully charge the battery. The standard charger needs more time. A fully charged battery takes approximately 2 hours.”
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is one of the most powerful phones on the market. And the camera system is also excellent.
You have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. This gives you up to 3 times optical zoom.
Digitaltrends is very pleased with it, even though the Samsung S23 Ultra’s system is better: “The Fold5 has new lenses, new techniques for processing the photo and other software options for better photos. This means the photos you take are vibrant and filled with bright colors.”
